Whose honor remains steadfast?
One who performs deeds of honor but doesn’t seek honor, his honor remains steadfast (He becomes immortal through his deeds of honor). The Lord performs deeds of honor but does not have desire of honor, hence is adored by all.
Similarly, why the great saints such as Samarth Ramdasji, Eknathji, Tukaramji, Sai Lilashahji Bapu, Ramana Maharshi etc. are revered? Just because they perform deeds of honor but they have no desire for honor.
Whatever you do, do it for the pleasure of Antaryamin God. Whatever you think in your mind do it in accordance with God. Let your intellect take decisions in tune with the God’s will. O Maharaj! How does one tune one’s intellect to the will of God? Someone may say, “My intellect happened to think like this, so this must be the divine inspiration.” Then how should one decide as to whether one’s decision is inspired by God or one’s own desire. When the desire is disguised as a divine inspiration one is misled. When you do not work for personal gain be sure that work is inspired by God.
When you think, ‘May my will not be done, may my desire get reduced to ashes, but God’s will be done.’ You will attain to supreme blessedness.
